National President
The 2017-2018 National Project "Browsing History" will raise funds for James
Monroe Online (JMO).  This is a free and open online portal to access images
and searchable transcriptions of the Virginia based archival collections devoted
to our nation's fifth president James Monroe.  The availability of political and
family letters, wills, bills of sale, lists of memoranda, among other document
types will enable users to get a fuller understanding of James Monroe and his
life and time.

The project over a three year period will have completed a web-based digital
management system, working website, document inventory and catalog from
the Papers of James Monroe.  Scanned manuscripts from three partner
institutions, and all unpublished documents will be transcribed, verified and
